Smoking and Stress
Reducing the amount of stress in your life is a key component to kicking the habit when you're trying to quit smoking. When you're stressed to need to light up a cigarette is stronger then usual, and the urge to quit is overpowered.
Your stressed you over indulge in things, like eating, which contributes to weight gain, a factor that weighs heavily on the mind of someone contemplating giving up smoking. Stress takes control of your mind frame and takes away from the will power to quit.
When you reduce stress in your life you take away some of that need to have a cigarette, to "calm the nerves" and relax you. A lot of people pull the line "Man I've had a crazy day, I need a cigarette" but the truth is you don't.
Find other ways to work out the stress in your life and then the fact of wanting to quit and not being able to won't be there knowing at you. Stress less, and work on alternative ways to let it out, don't light up, go for a walk, do some yoga, stay healthy and clean rather than harm your body.
